Performing as part of the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts Music Series

Songs and Stories of American Folk Rock

Singer/Songwriter Brian Chartrand is a Massachusetts native but has spent the last 14 years here in the Valley. His main project “Live from Laurel Canyon” has been performing for packed crowds since 2013. The show chronicles the evolution of “folk rock” in the mid-60s with songs and stories about the artists of that era; The Mamas and The Papas, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, The Doors, CSNY, James Taylor, and Joni Mitchell, just to name a few. Expect to hear music from this show, as well as Brian’s original music from his bands The Sweet Remains, who recently performed at Carnegie Hall, and The Project which is comprised of a world class group of musicians based right here in Phoenix.
