Youth Works Programs
Our youth programs are specially geared towards fostering young actors to develop and hone their acting skills. We focus on building confidence through individual and group achievements.
We offer a wide range of programs for aspiring young actors with varying degrees of skill and experience. Year round we offer plays, musicals, workshops, camps and special productions.
Here at Youth Works, we feel that there is a place for everyone to be involved. The Youth Theater has many openings for actors, technicians, directors, and organizers. Please get involved today and you’ll be glad that you did.
Youth Works – A great place for kids of all ages to get started and grow stronger!
SEASON PRODUCTIONS
Theater Works proudly presents our Youth Works 2012 – 2013 Season. This year we have great musicals, an Arizona Premiere and fun productions. Auditions are held throughout the year and all are welcome to audition! Please see our Youth Works audition page for more information.
YOUTH WORKS ACADEMY (YWA)
Youth Works Academy (YWA) is the Northwest Valley’s premier provider of learning opportunities for youth ages 3 and up in the disciplines of dance, drama, music, puppetry, creative/script writing, and more. Training our youth in the various components of the performing arts will build self-esteem, inspire creativity, celebrate community, instill initiative and discipline, enhance positive communication and social skills, and offer outstanding theatrical training by professional, caring instructors who offer a wealth of experience and a dedication to nurturing young artists.
YOUTH WORKS ACADEMY – HOME SCHOOL PROGRAM
Theater Works has created a new adventure for homeschoolers! Using plays as a springboard for learning more about different times, places, cultures, and people. Each of the 8-12 week sessions will immerse your child in a comprehensive unit study using arts integration throughout the curriculum. Small, groups of homeschooled children, ages 7-12 will work together with homeschooling mothers for the first half of the session. Here we will explore the play on a much deeper level, building the foundation for a more meaningful experience during the second half of the session. This is when the children will work with a theater teacher to dive further into the play itself. The goal, during the second half, won’t be to put on a full-scale production at the end, but rather to study the play, learn about the characters, and gain speaking and acting skills.

WORKSHOPS
Theater Works is proud to present “Youth Works” Workshops. Our workshops are a great place for newly aspiring actors to learn the craft. Although we setup our workshops for beginners and intermediates, we also encourage experienced young folks to come by, sharpen their skills, prepare for upcoming auditions, and build on their existing talent and know-how.
