Field Trip Frequently Asked Questions

Field trip performances require a minimum group size of ten people

Everyone attending the field trip performance needs a ticket, including students, teachers, and chaperones. This ensures we have an accurate headcount and allows us to seat everyone comfortably. The ticket price is the same for everyone in your group, so please include all attendees when making your reservation.

We understand that group sizes can sometimes change. If you need to adjust the number of students attending your field trip, please call us at (623) 815-1791 ext. 702 as soon as possible. Adding attendees will depend on available theater seating.

Here’s what to keep in mind when making changes:

  • Only the designated contact person who made the original reservation can adjust the number of attendees.
  • To ensure a smooth process, any additional tickets added within two weeks of the show must be paid in full at the time you call.

Once you have made a booking for a certain number of seats, those seats are reserved for your group and cannot be sold to anyone else. In order to continue to present our quality productions at the highly-discounted rate, we need to be able to sell every seat in the theater.

Field trip performances are for pre-booked groups only. Individual ticket sales are not available for these shows.

To ensure an accurate headcount, only the designated contact person who made the original reservation can adjust the number of attendees.

A non-refundable deposit of 10% of your total is due immediately upon booking your field trip to reserve your tickets to the show. Full payment is due at least two weeks before the show you are scheduled to see.

  • All sales are final, and unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds or credits after payment has been processed.

Additional Tips:

  • To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend sending checks or money orders well in advance of your field trip date.

TheaterWorks does accept purchase orders. A copy of the purchase order should be emailed to reserve your field trip.

To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, please arrive 20 minutes before your showtime. This allows ample time for your group to disembark from the bus and settle comfortably in the theater. As our venue hosts multiple shows daily, we unfortunately cannot delay performances for late arrivals.

Please be aware that groups arriving more than 10 minutes after showtime will not be seated. Late seating can disrupt the performance for everyone. In such cases, refunds or credits will not be available.

About Theater Works School Programs

Educators searching for arts integration programming that meets Common Core Standards are only a phone call away from affordable community resources.

TheaterWorks designs many of its productions with classroom integration in mind – from performances timed specifically so classrooms can attend during the school day, to study guides that teachers can download and present to their classrooms before the show and follow-up materials for student discussions after the performance.

Some productions offer teacher and student edition study guides that cover such subjects as the history of the shows to Vocabulary lessons for words found throughout the performances (fill in the blank and crossword puzzles, to information on the theatrical process and questions from the text of the play.

Both adults and youth learn best through participation and direct involvement. Using these materials teachers can help students gain an appreciation for theatre not just as a form of art but also English, History, Science, Math and other topics imperative to their social well-being.

These programs are developed so we can work together with educators to transform young people and communities through theater arts.
